Indirect water heaters are a great complement with today's high efficiency boilers. HCD Carries two types the Ultrastor by Heat Transfer Products, and the Smart series by Triangle Tube.
The Triangle Tube "Smart Series" uses a "Tank in Tank" design. The domestic storage tank is constructed of stainless steel and is surrounded by boiler water in the outer tank resulting in a full wrap around heat exchanger.
The superior heat exchanger surface area (1.5 to 2 times larger than a traditional coil) makes for large volume of hot water in a short period of time.
