General Humidifiers are the standard plenum mount with by-pass duct. Works with air blowing over a moist evaporator pad to deliver humidity into the home.
Honeywell Steam Humidifiers deliver steam into the duct system. They can work with or without a heat source running. The steam humidifiers work well with high efficiency gas furnaces and heat pumps because they don't require extremely hot air to increase the absorption off the evaporator pad.
